An ultrasonic instrument will gently brush larger pieces of tartar off of the tooth with vibrations and mists of water. Gentle to moderate pressure is used with tools that match the curves and shape of the teeth. A slow-speed hand piece spins a special polishing paste on the teeth before the final fluoride foam or gel application – offered in a variety of new flavors from chocolate to pina colada!
